Lemon Grass (لیمن گھاس)

Lemongrass, known in Urdu as lemon ghas (لیمن گھاس), is a fragrant herb used in both cooking and herbal medicine. It has long, thin green stalks with a strong lemony aroma and citrusy flavor. Widely used in Thai, Vietnamese, and South Asian cuisines, lemongrass adds a fresh, zesty taste to soups, teas, curries, and marinades.

Apart from its culinary use, lemongrass is known for its antibacterial, antifungal, and digestive properties. It is often used in herbal teas to relieve bloating, stress, and colds. Both fresh and dried lemongrass can be used, but the lower, white part of the stalk is typically the most flavorful.
